発音注意な単語

• infamous（インファマス）不名誉な、悪名高い
• indict（インダイト）起訴される
• indictment（インダイトメント）起訴、告発

同音異義語

• air（空気） heir（相続人）
• fair（公平な） fare（料金）
• die（死ぬ） dye（染める）
• rain（雨） reign（統治期間、君臨）
• wine（ワイン） whine（泣き言を言う）

形容詞の順番

1. number（a, some, many, etc）
2. opinion（nice, cute, easy, etc）
3. size（big, small, large, etc）
4. age（old, young, new, etc）
5. shape（round, square, oblong, rectangle, etc)
6. color（red, white, blue, etc）
7. origin（Japan, USA etc）
8. material（iron, plastic, wooden, metal, etc）
9. purpose（sleeping, cooking, etc）

例　A nice big old square brown Japanese wooden cooking table.（ナイスで大きくて古い茶色の四角い木製の料理用テーブル）

ことわざ

• Seeing is believing. 見ることは信じること（百聞は一見にしかず）
• Kill two birds with one stone. 1つの石で2匹の鳥を殺せ（一石二鳥）
• Easy come, easy go. 簡単に手に入ったものは簡単に出ていく（悪銭身につかず）

今取り組んでる、最短合格! 英検1級 英作文問題完全制覇にBetter late than never.（遅くてもやらないよりまし）のセンテンスなんか環境問題のエッセイで使えるぞ！と書いてあったので上記のうちいくつかは使えるようにしたいですね。
