今回も英検１級２０２４年度過去問３回分を解いてみた感想を書いていこうと思います。
というのも英検1級本試験が6月1日なのでね。
今回は２０２４年度２回目、２０２４年１０月６日実施分を解いてみました。
リーディングはしっかり時間を測って解いたので要約問題や英作文は、見直す余裕がなく下手くそです。
加えてperprexity先生に英検１級基準で採点してもらってます。

In the past, vehicles were the symbol of the rich. However, due to rapid growth of the economy, cars were less valuable than before. Since the number of cars will be doubled within 20years, natural resources such as fossil fuels would be depleted, which could lead to a serious environmental problem. Therefore, scientists encouraged to use biofuels, which are made from methane. Due to slow development of this category and less efficient as a transportation energy source, many governments are less likely to invest in developing biofuel-production facilities.

- CO₂排出と気候変動への言及がやや弱いです。
- バイオ燃料の生産方法（動植物廃棄物からバクテリアで分解しメタン生成）の具体性がやや不足しています。

- 論理の流れは明確で、全体的にまとまっています。
- ただし、文と文のつながりや接続詞の工夫がやや単調です。

- “encouraged to use biofuels” は “scientists have developed a process for producing biofuels” の方が原文に近いです。
- 語彙レベルはやや平易で、1級相当の言い換えや多様性がやや不足しています。
文法（6/8）
- “cars were less valuable than before” は意味がやや不明確。
- “scientists encouraged to use biofuels” は “scientists have encouraged the use of biofuels” または “scientists have developed a method to produce biofuels” の方が自然です。
- “Due to slow development of this category and less efficient as a transportation energy source” は “Due to slow technological progress and insufficient efficiency as a transportation energy source” のように修正が必要です。
- 全体として大きな文法ミスはありませんが、自然な表現に改善の余地があります。

英作文
Are free trade agreements with other countries the best way to promote economic growth?
Some critics argue that free trade agreements would negatively affect domestic industries. However, I think that free agreements with other countries are the best way to promote economic growth. Free-tariff transaction will increase revenues between nations, boost overall employment rates, and improve local economy.
First, free trade will encourage both import and export companies. When importing or exporting, they are exempted from any taxes so they can freely trade their products at reasonable prices. This means that not only nations but also companies are able to obtain significant total amount of profits.
Furthermore, there could be high demands when inexpensive but useful foreign products are available at citizens’ hands. This would generate many job opportunities. As a result, hundreds of thousands of enterprises would hire more workers in order to meet such demands. This is clearly positive effect for economy.
Last, thanks to high demands of employment opportunities, there might be a lot of people who gain high remuneration. Such high-income individuals tend to travel both domestic and abroad. In addition, they are likely to spend their money for their comfort. This could boost the local economy.
In conclusion, free trade has several good points. Therefore, I strongly believe that governments and world leaders should more encourage free trade agreements.

- 3つの主張（収益増加、雇用創出、地域経済の活性化）を挙げていますが、やや一般的で具体例や反論への対応が弱いです。
- 反対意見（国内産業への悪影響）に触れていますが、深掘りや具体的な反論があるとより高評価になります。
構成: 6/8
- 序論・本論・結論の構成が明確です。
- 各段落で一つの主張を展開していますが、論理のつながりや段落間の橋渡しがやや弱いです。
- 具体例やデータがあると説得力が増します。
語彙: 6/8
- 基本的な語彙は適切に使われています。
- “free-tariff transaction”や”free agreements”など、やや不自然な表現や誤用が見られます（”free trade agreements”や”tariff-free transactions”が正しい）。
- “remuneration”など難易度の高い単語も使われており、語彙力は十分ですが、自然な表現やコロケーションに注意が必要です。
文法: 6/8
- 大きな文法ミスはありませんが、冠詞や単複、時制、接続詞の使い方に細かいミスが見られます。
- 例：”This is clearly positive effect for economy.” → “This is clearly a positive effect for the economy.”
- 文構造は比較的シンプルで、より複雑な構文を使うとさらに高評価が狙えます。

要約問題と英作文は前回より良い結果でしたが、リーディング、リスニングともにぼろぼろ。この結果は確実に不合格。TOEIC965点と英検1級とは大きな隔たりがあることが分かる良い試験結果でした。。。
本番は明日頑張るぞ！
